Arts & Crafts Prefabricated House
This house was constructed in a factory in Wisconsin and shipped to the site in 7 modular sections. By prefabricating parts of the house, the construction waste was minimized preventing unnecessary waste from being dumped in a landfill. Site work included setting the prefabricated modules by a crane and installing the exterior and interior finishes. Because this house was prefabricated, it cut the overall construction time by 30%. Project was featured in The Chicago Tribune's Business section on September 12, 2005. Tribune photos show the "modules" being set by crane on the project site.
